When we came back to El Paso from Vegas last month, we didn't have any concrete plans, but we did have a tentative idea that we would be leaving El Paso with the trailer to go help our daughter move out of her dorm, and we'd need to leave here by around May 1. After assessing the situation here with Paul's mom and dad, we have decided that we won't be able to leave in time to do that. So, the decision has been made that I will fly to Indiana to get Jess out of her dorm and take her up to Michigan for her annual physical and jury duty. Once she is settled for the summer, I'll fly back to El Paso.
We've been taking advantage of being in one place to take care of things like dentist appointments, vision check-ups, and anything else we can think of that requires that we stay put for more than a week. Last Saturday, after dropping Pauls glasses off to get new lenses put in (Costco),we went out to dinner to a great Mexican restaurant (Carlos and Mickeys). At 5:30 we had a short wait to be seated, so I am glad we didn't wait to go later! The atmosphere was really great, not too loud, not fast foodish, the Margaritas were awesome, and the food was really good. Add to that the fact that even after having dessert, with tip, it still came in under $50. Can't beat that! I am looking forward to going back to get his new glasses, so that maybe we can eat there again!
In the meantime we are still working on projects around the house, Paul's mom spends most of her day at the hospital, and I usually head up there in the afternoon to keep her company.
General blurb for anyone who has not read previous posts:
Paul and I are in El Paso with his parents. On November 30th Paul's father fell through the floor in the attic. He has no broken bones, but is currently still unconscious. We have been traveling on a limited basis and staying in El Paso between trips.
